Warm wood filled kitchen remodel in 3 months

This kitchen, even though originally it should have seem brighter because of the colors, it was actually a quite dark and sad space. The floor seemed old and the space wasn’t functionally organized. As a result, the owner decided to try a different approach. The kitchen was entirely renovated and it now looks completely changed.

The whole remodel process was completed in three months. In this time, the whole kitchen was reduced to nothing but walls and the redecoration started from zero. The floor was replaced with something simpler and more elegant and the furniture was chosen so that it would match the floors. Even though the owner wanted a modern kitchen, the idea was to avoid the clichés and to create something personal. It’s why the kitchen now features a 1940s décor but with a modern twist. But before the furniture got to be replaced, the kitchen needed some restructuring.

The layout remained the same. However, the kitchen now seems a lot more spacious and airy. It has a continuous décor and everything was simplified. The wooden cabinets match the floor and create a warm atmosphere. The contrast with the white countertops is fresh and simple but also has a retro appeal. The cabinets are great for storage but there are also some open shelves for things that are frequently used and need to be close at hand. The kitchen got a major update and the results are wonderful.{found on designsponge}.
