Sometimes simplicity and unusual combinations may express more than you think. Take for example an unusual shape of a wood statue, a bizarre colored piece of stone or some figurines made of ice. These are raw materials but their shape or color combined with their material can express something or things that you have never thought of. All these things can become even preciousless once they become a present or a symbol of something. Even simple words can represent more than a thousand phrases. You may take the classic example of “I love you” which sometimes becomes more important than any other object or expression.
The same features are met at G-Star’ shop set up at Bread &Butter annual tradeshow in Berlin. It is a concrete like structure which was made by the Dutch building team Fiction Factor and the Dutch production creatives at Sightline. The indoor/outdoor exhibition was built using raw materials like wood and concrete. In order to create a special place with more personality there were used some yellow accent pieces and the floor was made of a shiny metal.
A white rhino that can be seen behind glass is one of the attractions like the motorcycle handlebars which were used for hangers. The white lighting which appears in some circular cuts- outs in the ceiling creates even a more mysterious atmosphere like the grey nuances used all over the place. The whole building looks like a real museum where people come and admire the G-Star urban collection that was displayed in an artistic way.
