Tiny two stories holiday retreat on a sandy beach in New Zealand

I think we all dream of a house set on the shore of some ocean or sea. That is ideal for holidays when you can spend relaxing time with your family and your friends. Well this particular one is just made for your family because it is little and it is made primarily for relaxation. The Bach on sleds was created and design by Crosson Clarke Carnachan Architects and it was built in 2011.

The place is situated on a sandy beach in New Zealand, to be more exact in the Coromandel Peninsula. This Bach on sleds is set on the coastal erosion zone and that is why all the buildings in the area must be removable. It is called Bach on sleds because it is actually built on two wooden sleds for movement back up the site or across when needed.

This Bach on sleds home has a 40 square meters area and it accommodates a family of five people perfectly. The place has a kitchen, a dining room, a living area, one bathroom, and two sleeping zones. The front wooden wall of the home can be lifted so that the sunlight could get into the place. It looks like a giant tent. In the extra season the place can be closed and perfectly preserve until the sun will come again. Inspiring or not I love it!
