This Timber-Clad House Seamlessly Disappears Into The Forest

Somewhere in Ødsted (Denmark) at the end of a small forest trail proudly stands a beautiful timber house with a detached carport. The house was designed and built by studio N+P Architecture and is made out of a selection of materials which reflect the color palette of the surrounding landscape.

That alone is enough to make this a very special project. All the surrounding vegetation was preserved and is completely untouched, making this project even more amazing. This close relationship between the house and its surroundings is also reflected in the interior design.

A carport acts as a border along the trail, with a narrow concrete path linking it to the main building. With some areas reaching a ceiling height of seven meters, the house has a very open and airy vibe which is emphasized by the large windows. On the outside of the building two large zinc-covered boxes can be observed. They frame large bay windows, forming cozy niches on the inside. The windows and the large glass doors also reveal beautiful views towards the lake and the forest, allowing nature to become a part of the interior decor.
