When you say forest you usually imagine a lot of trees and green leaves. It’s a typical image but not the only one. There are other ways of analyzing this concept. For example, for this designer the inspiration was nature but he managed to come up with a rather metaphorical creation.
This is Urban Forest, an interior design project developed by Brazilian designer Fábio Galeazzo. It’s a home located in Sao Paulo, Brazil and that has an inspiring interior design. As the name of the project suggests, this is a different way of perceiving nature. This time we have an urban context and as much freshness as you would have imagined. This residence features a simple but visually strong décor. There are many elements that are quite unique.
The living room seems very cozy and inviting. It features a puffy red rug that invites you to feel its soft texture, a modern sofa with lots of pillows, a minimalist stool and a coffee table with a compact shape and a stone-like finish. There’s also a colorful chair with a dramatic look. The kitchen is white and very simple. It opens onto the dining area that contains a black table with black chairs and a series of stylish pendant lamps hanging above them.
Also, there are two very interesting coffee tables with irregular shapes. They are made of wood and have unique textures and designs. These tables along with the colorful artwork from the wall are a way of compensating and a way of bringing nature inside, even if it’s just an artificial creation.
