The 200 Chambers Penthouse was designed in 2006 and the project’s cost was $2,200,000. The client wanted this to be his pied-a-terre for when he comes in New York during the fall. He requested for the design to be simple, stylish and flexible in order to allow the residence to serve both as a space where he can work and where he can spend time with friends and family.

The architects designed it with a private suite and with a large entertainment area. In addition, the residence also has two bedrooms for guests. The color palette for the interior design is restraint but it’s also rich and includes both neutral and vibrant shades. The interior design is a combination of limestone, mahogany, gold leaf, white marble, bronze and stainless steel. The 4000 square foot residence was furnished with both modern and antique pieces that have been collected from throughout the world. Even so, the two styles don’t contrast or clash but rather combine harmoniously. In each room there is one striking focal point, either in the form of artwork, wall art, accessories or sculptural shapes and designs.
