The Perfect Modern House Design for Two Busy Airplane Pilots
The task of designing each project according to their clients’ specific needs and requirements often inspires architects from around the world to create unique and amazing projects. One of our examples is the V60 House which was completed in 2020 by WARchitect studio. This unique house was designed for a husband a wife who are both airplane pilots as is located on a tranquil piece of land from Khet Lak Si, Thailand. The site is far away from the main road and surrounded by plenty of open space and large trees. It’s like a little oasis. Here the owners wanted a home where they can be close to their relatives and enjoy each other’s company as much and as best as possible.
As pilots, the owners spend long periods of time away from each other and stuck in tiny spaces. They wanted their house to make them feel free, to allow them to enjoy nature and also to bring them closer together. In order to make that happen, the architects organized this place in three main zones.
There’s the social area with the living room, kitchen and dining area all connects into one big space, the maser bedroom and the guest area. The way in which these zones are divided is rather unusual. Rather than placing interior walls between them, the architects divided them using courtyards. In order to move between spaces one has to go outside and then back in. Also, each area is visible from all the other spaces. That way the couple can see each other no matter where they each are inside or outside the house. It’s a nice way for them to feel closer together even when they’re in separate rooms of the house.
