The New Bau Sallinger Office Is A Mix Of Old And New

The construction company Sallinger Bau GmbH recently finished its new office. The Bau Sallinger Office is located in Liebenfels, Austria and was designed by Spado Architects. The site area measures 14,746 square meters and the new construction of the office started in 2009 and ended in 2011. The company is specialized in earth-moving, structural and civil engineering. It’s a growing family business and it reached a point when an office was a must-have.

It’s a large company and it can handle projects of any dimension. The former office of the company was also the residential home of the family. Finally, those two areas are now separated. The new office is a sort of combination between the old and new. The office is basically a one-storey building located to the south of the former residential house of the owners. Moving from one place to the other was simpler in this case.

The new Bau Sallinger Office has high ceilings and a spacious and clean interior. There are several walls that divide the spaces. Since it’s a growing family-business, the office is also opened to new development possibilities and nothing is definitive there. The facade of the new office is entirely made of glass and has a second layer of exposed concrete in front of it. The shell offers sun shading and it also camouflages the building. The office and the building itself has a geometrical shape and multiple openings. The interior is simple, spacious and somewhat formal.{pics by Kurt Kuball and found on archdaily}
