The Mint Santa Teresa Hotel Welcomes Its Guests Into A Tropical Paradise
Most touristic attractions focus on offering their visitors the most amazing views and while that’s definitely incredible sometimes it’s not enough. That’s how hotels such as the Mint Santa Teresa manage to stand out and to impress their guests. Located on Playa San Teresa in Costa Rica, this contemporary hotel is actually a collection of individual guest pavilions which unfold in layers taking advantage of the sloped terrain to offer panoramic views over the ocean. Surrounded by a tropical paradise, this unusual hotel manages to introduce its guests into a very charming ambiance and to connect them to the local culture. In other words, this place is about hospitality as much as it about landscape.
The Mint San Teresa Hotel was designed and built by Studio Saxe and the project was recently completed at the beginning of 2018. The pavilions and the communal areas cover a total of 660 square meters of land and welcome visitors in the middle of nature where they can enjoy a great surfing spot and interact with the locals to find out more about their culture. This harmony dominates the entire area. The guest pavilions feature modern designs and were built and furnished using local materials. They each have a rooftop terrace and their ceilings are made of Cana brava which is a type of grass, featuring intricate fishbone patterns.
