The JWT Advertising Agencies Design by Clive Wilkinson Architects

JWT stands for J. Walter Thompson and it’s one of the oldest and largest advertising agencies in the world. The company recently got a new headquarters. The project was developed by Clive Wilkinson Architects. The headquarters is located on 466 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY 10017, USA and it covers an area of 250.000 square feet. The project was completed in 2008.

The company realized that in order to survive and to stay on top, it needs to adapt to the challenged of the modern media world. This also meant that some changes had to be made and they also envisaged the headquarters. The transformation of this space started in 2004.

JWT occupies 250,000 square feet and in covered 5 floors of the office building at 466 Lexington Ave. The 900 people working there were then able to take their place in the new, remodeled headquarters. The construction was made in four phases over three years and it was completed in February 2008. Now it’s a colorful and modern place, with creative interior decors and up-to-date technology.

Even though the decors differ, all 5 sores are connected by a story. There;s also an atrium void and staircase tat physically connects them all over the main entrance hall. The decors are most dramatic at the lowest floor, situated on the second level. There, the ceilings are 18 ft tall and the décor is impressive.{found on archdaily and pics by Eric Laignel Photography}
