The Glamping Tents Turn Camping Into A Luxury Activity

Camping is not what it used to be. Now, whenever people go camping with their tents they take their whole house with them. They have tables, chairs and even portable kitchens. Sometimes it all seems to get out of control and camping becomes Glamping. It’s the case of these unusual tents which were designed by ArchiWorkshop for a remote campsite in Yang-Pyeong, South Korea.

The tents are entitled Glamping for Glampers and it’s where you want to be if you wish to try something adventurous without giving up the glamor. Here you get to sleep in tents shaped like worms or doughnuts which take care of all your needs. In other words, you’ll have everything you need here, including a toilet and a kitchen.

Two types of tents were designed. The first one has a long curving form and it resembles a worm and the second one is circular and designed to resemble pebbles. The tents are made from an engineered fabric membrane which shields the interior from UV rays and it waterproof and fire-resistant.

The membrane is stretched around steel frames. Inside, the architects also designed custom sofa beds. A series of partition walls separate the toilet area from the rest of the tent. It’s an interesting concept but some would say it takes all the fun out of camping.{found on dezeen}.
