Hotel Altis Prime can be found in Lisbon, Portugal. It’s a luxury building designed by Cristina Jorge de Carvalho who won several awards for this project. Despite its name, Altis Prime is not actually a hotel. It’s a building that incorporates luxury hotel apartments and it introduces a new concept, that of elegant and comfortable long-term accommodation based on the design of hotel rooms.
The building has eight floors and it includes a total of 78 apartments between T0 and T3. The designer aimed at creating a space with a contemporary décor that would be noticeable thanks to its elegance, comfort and functionality. The entrance to the apartments is through a volume that includes a kitchenette, a bathroom and a bedroom, a space that then opens up and reveals the rest of the apartment. The interior decors are contemporary but they have a classical and timeless beauty. The color palette is soft and neutral and includes tones of beige, ashes, as well as the classical black and white.
There’s a very interesting and delicate balance between the overall interior design that tends to be masculine and the elegance of the materials and details that add a feminine touch. It’s the perfect mix. The materials sued throughout include many opposites including cement, walnut, glass and mosaic but the result is also beautifully balanced. The lobby, bar lounge, the meeting room and the terrace are spaces that offer panoramic views of the city and that also set the tone for the rest of the rooms.
