The Essence is a Small Swedish House
Size is not the essence and the best example to support this idea is a small Swedish house of 57 sq m, located at the coast of Hoganas, inSweden. The architect Dinell Johansson modeled this summerhouse, after the Palladios villas inVeneto. Common with the Palladios villas is the cross-shaped space on one side and on the other, the idea of a summerhouse, which makes you think about summer life and all the joy it supposes.
Essential is the concept of spatial economy, in fact the entire house is all about the economy of space. Even from the beginning, the intention was that of creating a maximum amount of spatial divisions in a building without too much space. The result is very satisfactory, no matter the perspective you regard things. Everything seems to be the expression of perfection, no matter you watch it from outside or from inside; it has everything: simplicity, modernity, elegance, good taste.
The whiteness of the walls, the large glass windows and doors providing the impression of a larger space, the greenish surrounding area, all these contribute to the general air: that of a charming place that seems to exist in order to make people feel welcome and at ease.
