The clients already had a residence on that plot but they wanted to give it a new look, a more contemporary one that would help bring a totally new identity to the house. In order to do that, the architects proposed a more radical solution. They decided to replace the former farm house part of the construction. Adapting that part wasn’t easy. They added a new timber frame structure that now hosts a spacious living room and an en-suite bedroom.

The part of the house that has been preserved is currently dedicated to the children and friend’s rooms. It seems now that the once chaotic structure of this house has been organized. It’s now a practically and functionally structured residence with a new look. The house got a new façade made of industrial steel sheet that have been left to rust under the olive trees, then fixed and varnished on site, before to be randomly shaped and implement by the craftsmen. If you also take into account the large outdoor pool this quickly transforms into an ideal home.{found on archdaily}.
