The comfortable Spectra chair by Matti Klenell

When it comes to furniture the looks are important because of the overall décor and the first impression a product creates. However, there’s a deeper feature that can rend the first one useless. It’s the comfort. A piece of furniture must be first of all comfortable and functional otherwise its looks won’t help. The creator of the Spectra chair knows that very well.

The Spectra chair was designed by Matti Klenell in 2011. It’s part of the Källemo Collection and it has a simple, casual and versatile design. The Spectra chair features a wooden frame. In order to emphasize the chair’s inner beauty and to also let the user focus on the shape and the comfort it offers, the chair has a natural finish. Of course, the frame is just the base or the support for this design since it’s in fact mostly covered by the cushions.

With a neutral and minimalist frame, the Spectra chair lets the eye focus on the colorful and soft cushions that cover it. The fabric cushions are there to provide extra comfort for the user and to also add some texture and color to the design. The Spectra chair comes in several color combinations. The frame is always the same but the cushions might differ. They have different shapes, sizes and textures and they are both functional and chic, making a beautiful decorations and accessory for the chair.
