The classic Munro Sofa by Donna Wilson

The Munro Sofa, the same as the Eadie Armchair that we have presented in a separate article, was designed by Donna Wilson. This is a more recent creation and it was a concept designed in 2011. The sofa is crafted using hardwood, spring and natural fibers and it’s available in two options. You can choose between the 2 seater and the 3 seater. The 2 seater sofa measures 75″ L x 33.5″ D x 29″ H while the 3 seater is obviously bigger, measuring 87.5″ L x 33.5″ D x 29″ H.

Both models share the same design. They feature delicate lines and a simple and classical design. The sofa is made from a European hardwood frame that provides strength and durability. It also has zig zag springs and the upholstery is made from natural fibers, animal hair and wool. It sounds like a rather traditional recipe.

The sofa distinguishes itself with the two large piped edged cushions, also noticeable for their depth. The sofa also has a deep buttoned back. The only visible part of the frame and the only visible wood pieces are the legs. These are made from beech wood and have brass plated wheels, making the sofa easy to move around. I think it’s safe to say that the Munro Sofa has a timeless design. However, it also has a subtle modern flair, like most of the designer’s creations. The sofa can be purchased at the price of $4,700.00. It comes in several different colors and color combinations.
