Men’s Choice 2 – A Sophisticated Apartment With A Timeless Look

148 square meters of style, luxury and originality, this is the only way we can define this splendid apartment located in Piešťany, Slovakia.  Designed by “at26” Architecture and Design team, this private residence could be a perfect Hollywood filming location. The dark colored furniture and the painted bricks have a great impact in the interior décor. The balance is provided by lighter ceilings and natural wood accents.

This apartment appears to have two big rooms, one of them incorporating a kitchen, a living room and dining room, and the second one has an office area, a bedroom area and a bathroom. You will notice an uncommon detail, something that’s not very often seen in interior design. It’s not about style, nor about the furniture. It’s all about… a part of the ceiling. You just can’t miss it! Dramatic geometric shapes add a dynamic effect in the living room area.

The sectional upholstered fabric couch and the steel coffee table, both designed by Patricia Urquiola will make you feel comfortable even after the worst day at work. As lighting fixtures, “at26” used an oversized floor lamp, LED aluminum track-light, designed by Bart Lens and spotlights.

Tiles with a 3D black and white pattern are tastefully added all over the apartment, starting from the kitchen area, to the bathroom and even above the bed. Speaking about the bathroom, I just loved the way the shower is separated by the actual toilet room.

I still have one surprise left for you! You probably noticed that the bedroom area is very close to the bathroom. It’s also very close to the office area. Whether we sleep or just decide to work from home on a certain day, we need privacy. That’s why the designers added a sliding wood panel that separates the bedroom from the other spaces if necessary.
