CES 2021 was held from January 11 to January 14 of 2021. The trade show introduced hundreds of new products in the technology industry that will define our future. The home interior industry was not left out of that crowd.

CES 2020 had more than 4400 exhibitors, 170,000 attendees, and 2.9 million square feet of exhibit space. Things may have been different this year as the pandemic is still raging, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a blast.

What Is CES 2021?

CES stands for Consumer Technology Association. They host an event each year presenting and debuting new products and technologies in the consumer electronics industry. It is the most influential tech event in the world.

Because of this, it’s the perfect place for companies of all sizes to announce their new products. While most of the technology introduced is purely electronic, there were plenty of products for the smart home at CES 2021.

Samsung Bot Handy

Let’s face it. This is the single product we were all most excited to hear about. It’s a robot by Samsung called Bot Handy and it’s everything we want a robot to be. The robot will be able to clean your entire house in no time.

We don’t know too much about Bot Handy yet, but it will likely have even more features than we can imagine. Though don’t expect to get your hands on one any time soon. 

LOCKLY Duo Smart Lock

Lockly is a smart lock company that has been in business for over 20 years. At this year’s CES, they announced two new lock systems. The Lockly Duo secures the latch and deadbolt of your door with one lock and can be controlled via an app.

The Lockly Guard is their other new smart lock. It has a touch screen, as does the Duo, but it works better for sliding doors. You can add Google Assistant and Alexa integration if it is connected to Wi-Fi.

The best part is that the app can control up to 1000 locks!

Ampere Shower Power Bluetooth Shower Speaker

What began as a Kickstarter fundraiser has become one of the hottest items at CES 2021. Ampere’s Shower Power Speaker is powered by the water running in your shower. All you have to do is turn your shower on and go. 

It’s also made from recycled ocean plastic, so this speaker can make you feel good about how you’re helping the environment. Despite its size, Ampere claims the sound quality in this speaker is amazing. 

Denon Home Sound Bar 550

The Denon Home Sound Bar 550 is a new soundbar that allows users to stream audio over Bluetooth and wi-fi. While this technology isn’t new, Denon’s soundbar supports AirPlay 2 among others.

Denon also designed this soundbar with a six-driver array with best in class audio quality. All-in-all, this soundbar is cheaper than others in its class at $600, so it may be an answer for those who can’t afford to pay over $1000.
