When it comes to choosing furniture for our home, we are no longer impressed by the usual designs, the standard pieces that have nothing to make them distinguishable from all the others. We are usually searching for something not so out of the ordinary but that still has something special, a detail that makes it stand out. Ribaldo is one such piece of furniture.
Ribaldo was designed by Vittorio Prato and it’s a sofa like any other one. However, it has something that makes it special. It has a built-in storage space. Actually it’s the base or platform on which the sofa stands that is a little longer than it should on one side. On the remaining space a storage space has been improvised. It’s not much and it comes in very handy. The space is divided in three sections and you can place there books that you might read while relaxing on the sofa or maybe other items like the remote control, so that you always know where to find it.
Another very useful detail is that the small platform incorporated in the additional storage space can also be used as mini coffee table. It comes in very handy when you want to enjoy a drink and you need a place to put it on. I could definitely use that additional space.
