This stylish apartment is located in Soho, central London, in the United Kingdom. The owners wanted to refurbish the apartment but didn’t really any idea to use as inspiration. It’s why he asked three architects for their opinions and suggestions. The responses were different and the client only chose one.
The winning solution was that proposed by Dive Architects. After analyzing the space available in the apartment, they suggested to extend it by building over an existing terrace. The client likes this idea since it would allow him to have a larger apartment and to also be able to have an open design. The extension can be accessed via two large sliding doors. The floor-to-ceiling glass walls provide lots of natural light as well as panoramic views of the surroundings.
The interior of the apartment has also been beautifully redecorated. It’s modern and simple and it has an almost formal look. The ceilings are high and the walls are white. This creates an airy and open décor. The furniture is modern as well and feature simple and clean-cut lines. The owner focused on comfort and wanted to maintain a casual look. The color palette is also simple and contains shades of white, grey, and a touch of ochre. Very few elements stand out. The only bold piece is the sofa that only stands out with its color.
