Reed Zinc Chair

When I was little I loved handcrafting all kinds of things that were more or less useful, but surely fun to make. I sometimes took a piece of wire from my grandpa’s workshop and twist it on all sides and also give it different shapes that depended a lot on my imagination. This Reed Zinc Chair is just like the result of my playing as a child, only made with professionalism and gift. This chair is made of antiqued zinc wire and is iron plated. Both the seating and the backrest are made of handwoven wire that results in a nice metallic net.

The frame of the chair is made of thicker wire and it looks pretty sturdy, making sure it offers the best comfort and stability. The four thin legs are connected two by two and then with between each other in what seems to be sleigh legs. Any way, even if it looks a bit strange and is all made of wire, the chair is quite comfortable. The legs have four protective glides that will not let the chair slip on the floor or scratch it. The item can be bought from CB2 for $149.
