As everyone now knows, the rainbow is an optical and meteorological phenomenon caused by the reflection of light in the water droplets from the Earth-s atmosphere. The rainbow takes the form of a multicolored art. The rainbow also has great cultural and religious significance. In some cultures, it is considered to be a path made by a messenger between Earth and Heaven while in other mythologies it is considered to be the belt of Tir, a Sun god.
But all these significances have become less important over time and now the rainbow is merely just a beautiful representation of a spectrum of color. Newton was the one that originally divided the spectrum into five main colors. He later also included orange and indigo by analogy to the number of notes in a musical notes. This is how the seven main colors in the rainbow became the shades that give color to our lives and our homes.
The seven colors of the rainbow are often used together to symbolize that union and designers always come up with ingenious ideas for using this concept in unique ways. Even when applied to a single element in home décor such as the staircase for example, there are lots of different ways in which the rainbow can influence the design. All the examples presented here share the same symbol but they have each given it character in their own way. This makes each example different and unique and gives us a series of great inspirational ideas.
