Puzzling loft in Italy by BoA Studio Architetti

This modern apartment is located in Treviso, Italy. It’s situated in a small industrial area, not the best place for a quite private home. The loft was beautifully designed by Martina Cafaro and Carlo Zavan from BoA Studio Architetti with the help of a whole team. They managed to create a very intriguing décor for this loft. Situated on the last floor of the tower that’s part of an old button firm, the apartment is connected to the main part of the building through an iron and glass walkway. From there it also benefits from panoramic views of the whole surrounding area.

Since the space wasn’t originally designed for private use, some structural changes had to be made before getting to worry about the small details. The old wall partitions had to be demolished and concrete structured were installed. The loft features 45° shaped beams and six skylights plus a 5-meter open space market by two large pillars that offers 270° views over the city. The mezzanine level of the loft is occupied by the sleeping areas. It’s an autonomous volume, like a building inside a building.

The social areas were placed on the upper level. Here there’s an open floor plan and large widows plus the large opening that allow panoramic and unobstructed views of the city and the river. The roof can also be sued as a terrace. The skylights are very beautifully placed in key areas and they let in natural light while allowing the users to glaze at the stars, when they are visible.{found on archdaily}.
