Prepare your mudroom for fall and give it a more festive look

Not a lot of people spend time decorating the mudroom. This space is perceived as a secondary entrance or as a storage area but mostly as the place where you leave your dirty shoes or wet clothing before entering the house. Still, it doesn’t have to look sad and depressing. So how about we get it ready for a fall festival? It doesn’t have to be anything fancy. You can just take a few items that are specific to this season and use them as decorations. Corn would be a nice choice. You can use it to decorate the walls. Don’t try to make it look classier than it is.

If you use natural elements, it would be best to avoid mixing them with items that look artificial. Try to use the same color palette for the whole room. So besides corn, there are plenty of other decorations you can use. Flowers are always nice. You can have a planter in there with some flowers that bloom around this time of the year. But if you wish to continue the same rustic look, you can also use a bucket for the same purpose.

A string of lights would also be nice. You can just hang it on a wall without being too careful about the pattern and shape. Of course, we can’t forget about pumpkins. So find some in different sizes, shapes and colors and spread them across the room. You can also make a wreath using twigs, branches and leaves. See if you can also find some ribbons in colors such as orange, red or yellow and use them wherever you find it fit.{found on creeklinehouse}.
