Chic Pops Of Red Bring Energy Into A Black And White Apartment
Not exactly tiny but not that spacious either, this apartment is the perfect combination of simple, chic and spectacular. It measures a total of 56 square meters and has an open floor plan. The kitchen and the living room share the same space and the two are beautifully delimited by a kitchen island that matches the window alcove.
The living space has a very sharp and inviting look. The Togo sofa with its casual design creates a comfortable ambiance while also serving as a brightly-colored focal point for the room. Red pops of color also come in the form of accent details such as the coffee table tray, the ottomans and the pendant lamp cord.
What’s really beautiful is the color palette. It’s simple but bold and vibrant. The black and white combo is the base for the whole décor. The polished concrete wall in the living room and the light wood accents balance each other wonderfully.
Aside from the color contrasts, the living room also has a nice array of patterns visible on the carpet and the throw pillows. The white coffee table has a built-in serving tray and a glossy white modern design.
The kitchen is a bright space mostly decorated with white cupboards. The painted radiator was meant as a touch of color to cheer up the space and to also match some of the other accents in the room. It’s a very interesting strategy for dealing with awkward heating units and turning them into focal points instead of hiding them.
The front door leads directly into the open plan living space. The way the framed mirror casually leans against the wall and the wall-mounted TV and Togo sofa combo instantly create a welcoming atmosphere.
A chic pocket door then leads into the bedroom and, once again, the décor here is very casual and inviting. The white painted brick wall adds warmth and a little bit of rustic charm to the room while the wire pendant lights attached to the floor and ceiling add symmetry.
The red radiator matches the one in the kitchen and the long white curtains partially hide the black accent wall and thus a stylish contrast of colors is created.
White, black and red remain the three defining colors and the wood accents are not lacking either.
A similar type of décor also characterizes the bathroom which is small but definitely stylish. The red mosaic tiles and the glass wall create a nice shower area while the rest of the space is mainly white.
