Peruvian Home With Clear Views Of The Horizon From Every Single Room

Designed to offer views of the bay from every room of the house, this stunning building is the creation of architectural studio Oscar Gonzales Moix. The project was called Mar de Luiz Mansion and the house is situated near the National Park of Paracas in Peru.

It was built with two floors and a total area of 778 square meters. It has a front yard that’s exposed to the strong winds of the coast so the designers created an additional courtyard for the outdoor activities.

The courtyard and the swimming pool divide the mansion into two units. One contains the living area with the terrace, the dining room and the kitchen and the second unit is composed of the guest room, laundry room and the garage. These two zones can act as both separate units and as a whole.

The living and dining area has glass walls on two sides, with views of the sea on one side and views of the rest of the house on the other.

Two large stone walls support the two floors and offer the interior spaces a plus of privacy and balance. They also allow the living space to feel intimate and private, even with those huge glass walls.

An open kitchen occupies one side of the open plan. It looks really cool and modern with those wooden open shelves perfectly aligned and the matching island that also serves as a bar and a divider between the spaces. The gray background makes the wood grain stand out even more.

The dining table sits between the kitchen and the sitting area. It features the same beautiful finish as the island and the kitchen cabinetry and the chairs match the bar stools. The two pendant lamps hanging above the table further unify the whole décor with their color, texture and simple design.

At the other end of the room is a sitting area. A modern white sofa and a daybed complemented by two lounge chairs are organized around a minimalist and robust coffee table. A stylish side table with hairpin legs and a really unique wooden top accompanies the whole arrangement.

The sofa is facing a fireplace which, in this context, makes perfect sense. The design of the fireplace is somewhere between modern and rustic.

From the living area you can see the courtyard and the outdoor sitting area. An L-shaped sectional and a square coffee table sit under a canopy supported by a really cool and sculptural element.

The outdoor space continues with a long dining table with white chairs and a bar.

What we like the most about this portion of the house is the amazing balance. Everything fits perfectly into the mix: the stone wall, the white, the gray, the wood and even the manicured lawn, they all form a perfect picture.

But let’s go up the floating staircase and see how all these amazing views look like from upstairs.

The amazing staircase leads up to a hallway which contains a second living space. It’s a more private and intimate area, with a sleek floating media unit on one wall and a gray sofa facing it. A glass wall reveals panoramic views of the sea and the bay.

All the private spaces are located on the upper floor. The master bedroom feels very warm and inviting despite the overall white décor. The designers played with different shades of brown and beige which soften the décor.

The bed is facing the glass wall and a cozy window nook with comfy seats is perfect for admiring the views and relaxing. A super chic armchair and a floor lamp form a reading corner. This whole portion of the room feels very zen and relaxing.

The bathroom is as chic and stylish as the rest of the house. The same warm tones of wood soften the mood and the gray background and crisp white accents give the room a very clean and fresh look.
