Finding the perfect place to call home is not easy and it often takes more than you expect but it’s worth the wait when you finally find what you were looking for. For Clay and Caudy Heighten that moment came when they first discovered this piece of land surrounded by mountains. They installed knew it was exactly where they wanted to be so they began the plans for their new home.
Larry Pearson was the one who was in charge of everything. The couple decided to let him take over the whole house. The designer managed to exceed their expectations with a design that’s both modern and rustic. The clients wanted a home that would blend with the outside. They wanted to be able to easily walk in and out and to have outdoor living areas where they could relax and admire the landscape.
Instead of a formal entry hall, the house has an outdoor living room. It has a fireplace and sliding barn doors. The views from here are the best. Winters out there are harsh so the designer also had to carefully pick the materials so they could withstand the elements. For the interior, a beautiful mix of modern and rustic was chosen. Wood was sued extensively and this gives the house a very warm and inviting look.
