A Modern Bauhaus-Style Villa With A Car Lift That Disappears Into The Ground
The Bauhaus style is characterized by a combination of art and function, is a style that focuses on function and the comfort of everyday life but with an artistic twist. There are many unique and beautiful interpretations that reflect this combo, like this gorgeous house located in Germany. The mastermind behind it is designer Ulrich Reitenberger.
The idea behind this project was to create a modern villa, a house that would be functional and comfortable to live in but also expressive in unexpected and interesting ways. There are many little elements and features that help to achieve that. One of them is the indoor cart lift by studio IdeaPark. It adds a sci-fi vibe to this section of the house as it elegantly and smoothly lowers down and completely disappears into the basement and the car with it. The lift has lateral sliding doors and a glass enclosure at ground level and a sectional door at basement level.
The exterior design of the house is simplistic overall, with white walls, clean lines and a contemporary geometry overall. At the base, the floor plan forms an L-shape which frames the swimming pool and the deck around it. The pool has a glass railing and overlooks a river that flows directly along the edge of the property. This minimalistic white and black exterior however becomes quite vibrant at night when colorful lights turn on.
