A Modern Bachelor Pad With Smart Glass Space Dividers
The perfect bachelor pad doesn’t exist….or does it? Looking at these images we’re tempted to give a positive answer to this question. This marvelous 97 square meter studio apartment from Kyiv, Ukraine was recently reinvented by 33bY Architecture for their client, a young businessman with a preference for modern and sophisticated interior design. The apartment has one bedroom and two baths but its interior looks like a huge open space. Thanks because the living room, kitchen, dining area and workspace form a single volume and they’re separated from the private spaces through glass partition walls.
The cool thing about the partitions is that they feature a smart glass system which allows them to go from transparent to matte at the touch of a button. As far as the rest of the interior design is concerned, this bachelor pad shows a predisposition towards dark color tones and strong and masculine materials and finishes which include brick, natural black stone, onyx, leather, copper and wood.
In the living area, a white onyx panel with backlight serves as a focal point with the additional role of balancing the dark tones. A leather wine rack trio doubles as a decorative feature. The bedroom and the bathrooms have their own ways of looking stylish, blending modern and industrial elements such as the classy pedestal sink complemented by a minimalist copper faucet.
