Majestic home featuring a timeless design in Newport, Rhode Island

It’s very rare to see such an imposing-looking house. In fact, it’s the first time I see something like this. It’s definitely a gorgeous house and I think nobody could disagree on that. What is very interesting and almost hard to believe is that the owners didn’t choose to buy this place for the building and its architecture because it wasn’t even there at that time, but for the tree standing outside. It’s an old oak, a very beautiful tree that the owners fell in love with the minute the first saw it. They then decided to purchase the place, determined to preserve the oak no matter what.

In fact, this house has been built after the owners purchased the land, so it’s a brand new house. They wanted to build a house that looked like it had been there for centuries just like the oak. Indeed, the house looks amazing, almost like something you would expect to see in a story or a fantasy. In order to make their vision become reality, the owners used the help of Boston-based architect James Cullion and interior designer Eileen Marcuvitz.
