There are articles about her work which appeared in famous magazines and her passion for arts and design contributed to the opening of Lynne Scalo Design, a retail studio, in 2000.Here there are exposed some of her works and design ideas which made her famous. She considers Taj Mahal the most significant design innovation while the white walls with wonderful pieces of art work on them represents something everlasting and fresh for any period of time. She thinks that great interior design should not adapt to the “mood of the market” as the designer’s personal filter and choices are more important in creating a wonderful interior design.

One of the things that represent an emblem of Lynne Scalo’s style is the appearance of white or white accents combined with the use of art works. All her interiors have this feature. There is an entire room which is white. It looks so pure and fragile that makes be afraid of touching it. (5th picture).

Symmetry seems to be another strong point of her style. You may notice the arrangements of side tables from the bedrooms or those of lamps in the living rooms or those of paintings on the walls. The combinations of colors are symmetric too.

She also loves to combine the modern pieces of furniture with vintage or rustic elements. There are used some vintage chandeliers or candlesticks which create a great warm décor.(3rd picture). The recipients which appear on a dining table or the tables made of wood logs represents some rustic elements which are combined in a harmonious way by Lynne Scalo.
