Victorian interior designs have always been impressive and extraordinary. They have a charm that can’t be copied and their uniqueness is the key to their beauty. Even though the influence is almost entirely gone these days, there are still some great examples of Victorian interior decors that maintain the same charm and beauty as the original designs.
These luxurious bedrooms were designed by Germany-based Paul Begun. As he mentioned himself, the goal in this case was to create a décor that would feel intimate, comfortable and unique while adopting a Victorian approach. The bedrooms have a sophisticated look specific to this style. As you may already know, Victorian furniture is not something you design to be functional. The furniture is a work of art. There are numerous and intricate details and designs covering their surfaces and the shapes and lines are sculptural and artistic.
In these bedrooms, the furniture pieces don’t necessarily form a cohesive mix. However, they all complement each other beautifully. The colors chosen are simple and specific to the Victorian age. They also create a dramatic décor in combination with all the sumptuous pieces of furniture and all the beautiful little details. History has come alive in these bedrooms.
Wood was used extensively, most often featuring dark stain. The combination of wood and cloth which is specific to this style also creates a warm atmosphere and makes the rooms feel inviting, like a bedroom should be. Each room is unique but they all share a sophisticated and elegant look.
