Los Angeles downtown loft

This modern and expansive loft is located in one of the oldest industrial areas in downtown Los Angeles near the Los Angeles River, the Los Angeles State Historic Park and Chinatown. During the past ten years the area underwent some changes that later resulted in a unique mix of artists’ work space, a public transportation hub, public recreation projects and new commercial and office buildings.

The building where this loft is located is part of a complex that dates back to the 19th century and the years just before the First World War. This particular building dates back to 1910 and it was originally a warehouse which serviced a once-bustling industrial railroad depot. The building still has all the original structure and most of the original materials. Some additions had to be made, like all new mechanical and HVAC systems and an extensive upgrade of the electrical and plumbing systems.

New skylights have been added and some windows in order to maximize the natural light. Now the loft is a large open living space with beautiful decorations and art pieces, antiques and a unique combination of vintage and modern furniture.{found here}
