The Widlund House sits on the west coast of the Baltic Island. It’s an unusual structure that stands out with its simplicity. It’s in fact a white concrete box sitting in the middle of the site. The interior is functionally divided into private and social areas. There’s a private two-storey bedroom volume in the rear of the house and a social double-ceiling-height space in the front. In order to achieve perfect precision and color, the architects that designed the house used precast concrete, not a very common choice for such projects. The house has a beautiful geometry and a very charming plainness that makes it simple but very stylish.{found on contemporist}.
