Loft 24/7 by Fernanda Marques

I don’t think you have to belong to a certain nation to be a great architect or designer. However, being of Spanish origins does give you certain advantages given the background and tradition in this field. Think of  Gaudi and you will see my point. That is why Fernanda Marques was blessed to have both talent and the proper location when she started this difficult trip in the home design business. Her present work is called Loft 24/7 and it features a bungalow. The main purpose is to mingle nature with this loft and create the proper and comfortable conditions for people to stay in.

It covers 250m² and it is open directly to nature, using unrefined materials for building it. The loft does not belong to a specific style and current and it is basically an attempt to combine a country villa with a modernist home. As I said before the materials used are 100% natural, so you can see the stone walls and rough wood flooring coexisting for a great design.

The inside space is not abruptly separated from the outside, as there is a thick glazed ceiling that allows the light to come in and also eases the transition to another environment. For decoration you can find objects purchased from antique shops and also some very nice organic glass objects by US glass artist Jeff Zimmerman.
