Lithuanian loft with an austere and yet inviting décor

We haven’t talked much about Lithuanian homes and their style. There’s not much to say about this except that they usually don’t look like this. This is a rather unusual Lithuanian home. It’s a beautiful loft located in Llamas Valley and its interior is quite surprising. Some of the furniture pieces are typical for Lithuanian interior but the overall image just doesn’t scream Lithuanian.

The loft is surprisingly austere. The walls are ceilings throughout are painted in a very pale shade of grey, almost white. The texture of the walls is very rough and the shapes of the bricks are still visible. It’s this unfinished look that impresses the most. It’s a concept that can be analyzed in more than one direction. On one hand, some might say that such unfinished decors and rough textures make a home look less inviting and cozy. But, on the other hand, this is a style, a trend and every of these apparently random details are very well thought through.

This loft, despite its austere look, is actually quite cozy and welcoming. It’s a contemporary space decorated with vintage elements. The furniture is kept to a minimum and so the rooms seem very airy and spacious. This also makes the décor seem casual. The color palette is also restraint and only includes shades of white, grey, brown, black and occasionally a few pale accent colors. Even the green of the plants refuses to stand out.
