Isabelle de Borchgrave House, Decorated With A Beautiful Mix Of Cultural Items

You would expect an artist’s home to be a reflection of their work and, in most cases it is. One way or another they manage to incorporate this passion for art in the design and décor of their home. For Belgian artist Isabelle de Borchgrave, this is reflected in the beautiful mix of colors and in all the stylish objects gathered from other cultures.

Of course, this translates into an eclectic décor. But there’s so much more to admire about this place. As soon as you enter you’re mesmerized by all the colors and by the mix of textures and influences. On a closer inspection, we can see that the color palette is actually not that wide. A few neutral shades seem to be dominating the décor and they include mostly beiges and browns. But there is also another color that definitely surpasses these shades: red.

Red is definitely the dominant in this décor. It’s a color that was used throughout the home without exception. There are, of course, other accent colors as well but none of them is as strong as this one is. Other shades like blue, ochre or green manage to stand out and to complement the décor.

The living room is a beautiful and colorful space with a dynamic décor. The fireplace adds warmth to the room and the large lounge chairs make the atmosphere seem even more inviting and comfortable than it already was. As for the furniture, there are several recovered pieces in here, such as the low table and the chairs. The same care for style and beauty can also be seen in all the other rooms.{found on micasarevista}.
