Interior design pictures from Tim Van de Velde

All the pictures bellow are from a talented Belgium photographer Tim Van de Velde. So,in the first house, black and white is the choice for elegance.Perfect Symbiosis between new building materials  and classical art. I think it is smooth and simple and demands respect but not too serious.Lighting this place just right, to enhance all the elements is the real challenge and it was done beautifully. Great idea with those big light bulbs hanging  down from the ceiling.

What I particularly like in the next few pictures is the fact that the fireplace is in the middle of  the room.Being surrounded by metal poles and big windows and brick walls you can be feeling a strange cold sensation. That fireplace gives the room its necessary warmth.

Here are two kitchens decorated in antitheses. One has white slick furniture. All the appliances embedded in the cabinets, straight lines, geometrical shapes on the ceiling supporting the lighting system. No door knobs for the storage areas, no unnecessary buttons. The other one is decorated with black furniture appliances, also embedded in the cabinets but contrasting visibly with the white plain ceiling. The lighting system stands out by interrupting the smoothness of the ceiling.

In the last pictures I see confortable couches, fluffy carpets, warm colours, spatious living areas, clean  plain ceilings, wooden floors, good lighting . In one word : cozy.Great for having friends in , great for living.
