White Concrete House With A Curved Swimming Pool
Building this house on this particular site was a difficult task but judging by the looks of things we’d say the effort was well worth it. Studio Parretta Arquitectura did a wonderful job at completely transforming the space and making the most of its uniqueness. The house is located in Godella, Spain and was constructed in 2018. The main challenge was presented by the fact that the plot has an unusual shape with a rounded edge. The second challenge and perhaps the biggest of all was the difference in level between the two streets that frame the site.
In response to these difficulties, the architects came up with a design that’s both clever and visually striking. The house is built exclusively in white concrete and that gives it a very clean and modern look. It also has large expanses of glass and wooden surfaces spread throughout the spaces. On one side there’s the basement area which is level with the lower street. On the other side sits the entrance positioned almost at the same level as the higher street. The house has large overhangs and expansive outdoor areas, including a curved swimming pool with L-shaped wooden deck. The interior areas are bright, airy and minimalistic, as beautifully captured by these images.
