I always admired the interior designs of the homes in the ’80’s movies. There all look so well placed and even though the rooms were little, it always seemed like there was a lot of place. Respecting the square form, the furniture mixed perfectly in every corner. There were also the big pictures of nature that kept people near this one.The architects of New York City and Aspen-based design studio Stonefox Design, managed to design such a home in Aspen, Colorado, United States. Conserving the atmosphere of the ’80’s, this amazing home still looks contemporary yet cozy.
The owners of the house, a young couple wanted just a home that fits perfect with their love for art and their way of living. So the designers Chris Stone and David Fox made this amazing propriety using mostly a light/dark palette of colors. It is an awesome mixture between white and black shades that gives the home elegance and yet keeps a welcoming atmosphere.
The big rooms are wrapped in natural wood and cool gray stone and the big windows let the natural light and the heath to enter, and also give the possibility to always see the entire view. Exactly like the owner’s dream, the house became a mixture between architecture and art, recovering the amazing style of furniture design from thirty years ago.
It is the perfect home for this young couple, like a piece of a museum. And, it is the perfect place to spend your day after a hard day at work. Because art passes in front of your eyes and gives you something new to think about. With plenty of space for spending your free time, this is a definitely a dream house.
