After a two-year long renovation, Hotel L’Arboisie from Megeve, France is ready to mesmerize its guests this winter with its new interior design which is more charming and welcoming than ever. The renovation of the 4 star hotel was completed by interior designer Chantal Peyrat. The overall style of the hotel is similar to that of a large chalet. In fact, it’s meant to look and feel like an oversized family home where the common areas such as the lobby, restaurants and social gathering spaces are shared by everyone. A wood-burning fireplace in the lobby welcomes everyone into a super cozy atmosphere.
The hotel is situated close to the Mont d’Arbois Massif and this offers gorgeous panoramic viewsThe bedroom suites have their own private balconies and large windows which bring the outdoors in
The hotel has in total 69 chalet-style bedrooms and suites ranging from 20 to 144 square meters, all redesigned with a traditional-retro style and a focus on simple and natural materials, colors and finishes. One term that can accurately capture the essence of the hotel’s new look would be “authentic”. In addition to the bedroom suites and the lounge areas, the hotel also has two restaurants which serve local specialties and are as charming as the rest of the chalet. The Cellier is decorated with warm and muted tones and features comfortable benches with cozy wool cushions and Chez Jean has solid wood table and an overall elegant and retro feel.
The newly redesigned interior has a strong retro vibe, featuring wood as the prime material used throughoutThe two restaurants are at the heart of the hotel, being an important defining characteristic of this destinationThe restaurants feature comfortable wood benches with cozy cushions and pillows and walls decorated with framed picturesThe overall decor and ambiance inside the restaurants are similar to what you’d expect from a large family dining roomStrategically-placed lamps and sconces create a very warm and welcoming ambianceThe hotel’s new interior design focuses mainly on warm and subtle color tones and cozy textures and finishesThe wood-paneled walls give the space a chalet-like, rustic appearanceThe views of the nearby mountains are quite spectacular and can be enjoyed from all parts of the hotelThe fireplace in the lobby creates a very homey ambiance, making the space feel like a large family roomThe suites and bedrooms range in size but even the smaller ones have enchanting viewsThe retro style employed throughout the hotel makes all the space look extra warm and welcomingApart from all the wood, the spaces are also decorated with contrasting cool tones but even those look cozyThe restaurants are first and foremost friendly and welcoming, hence the homey decorThe hotel is, in a way, meant to be a home away from home
