Convento de La Parra is a unique and unusual guesthouse that, as the name suggests, used to be a convent. Given the history of the building and its former function, the hotel offers a unique experience that couldn’t be recreated anywhere else. This guesthouse is a great place to relax, to enjoy peaceful moments and to embrace the simplicity.

The hotel offers 21 rooms. Four of them and single cells located in a separate volume, 11 are double rooms, 4 have double wood stoves and this leaves 2 that are spacious suites with views of the pool and the field. The prices vary. A single room costs 51 €, a double room is 110 €, the special suites are 133 €, and the two suites cost 170 €. The hotel was built from stone, lime and clay and it dates back to the 17th century. It was originally built in 1673. It was only in 1979 that the rehabilitation started.

The hotel includes a lovely paved courtyard surrounded by a white gallery. The old bell tower also part of the property is currently inhabited by storks but it’s still a beautiful architectural element. The interior of the hotel is very simple, furnished with teak chairs and minimalist pieces. Upstairs there’s also a patio with sleeping sofas. It’s a wonderful area for relaxation. During the renovation, many of the original features have been preserved. They are what gives this place character and they include the roof beams and the clay soils.
