Add a message.
Welcome your guests with a positive and fun message. A simple hello would be enough. Use a stencil to spray paint your message on the porch floor.{found on windandwillowhome}.
Install a hammock.
Few things are more relaxing and enjoyable than a hammock. Imagine how wonderful your summer would be if you had a hammock on your porch. Installing one is quite easy so this can be your next week-end project.
Or a rocking chair.

Transform your porch into an outdoor living or lounge area. Get some wicker furniture, because it’s comfortable, lightweight and easy to store and invite your friends over.
Paint the floor.
If you’re trying to revive your porch without spending too much money or time, painting the floor could be a nice idea. It will completely change the look on your porch and, even if everything else remains the same, the space will feel fresh and new.
Add color.
Give your porch a dynamic and cheerful look by using color. Since you’ll be using this space during summer when nature bursts with vibrant colors, you should use the same tricks to make your porch look amazing.
Add curtains.
If you decide to create a cozy and relaxing corner or sitting area on your porch, you might also want to install some curtains. You can increase the privacy and the curtains will also protect against sun.

Finding or creating the right accessories for your porch is easy. Turn a stump into a side table and use some burlap or old fabric to make some comfy cushions to use on the bench.
Big plant pots.
Use plants to give your porch a fresh look. It’s all in the details. For example, if you use big flower pots like these ones you’ll be creating eye-catching focal points without necessarily using color or other features.
Hang some planters.
A very simple project, also involving plants, requires you to basically simply get some flower pots , install some hooks and then hang them on the porch.
Hanging flower pots let you save floor space which you can use for the furniture or other accessories. Choose flowers that stay fresh throughout the summer and that do well in the sun.
Climbing plants.
Climbing plants are also wonderful for the porch. For example, if your porch has columns like this one, then the plants can climb up and cover them completely.
