Fox Hotel – Art Hotel in Copenhagen

When you go on holiday and check in the hotel you are usually expecting a nice and cosy atmosphere that will make your stay pleasant. But sometimes you get bored of seeing impersonal hotel rooms that tell you nothing and just offer you accommodation. That is why art hotels have appeared and they seem to be more and more successful every day. These hotels offer the inside of the rooms for young artists to paint and decorate as they see fit. So these artists use the hotel walls as their canvas and create real works of art. One of these incredible hotels is Fox Hotel in Copenhagen.

The 61 rooms of the hotel were nicely designed by the 21 artists  from the fields of graphic design, urban art and illustration. They gave each room its particular theme and features. For example the room showed in the first picture was designed by a German artist named Hort and it was meant to illustrate modern urban characters that interact with the viewer and make them each perceive them in a different way.

Then there’s the Heidi themed room where you would feel exactly like the girl from the story, wandering about in the mountains, with the fir-trees and springs and all. Then there is a special room with a design that makes you feel the king of the Orient or maybe just visiting the court of King Louis XIV of France and so on. You take a tour of the hotel rooms before making reservations and pick the one you love most.
