Famous steak sandwich restaurant design in Melbourne

This restaurant design is unique in style and features an interesting mix of elements.Studio Equator had the difficult task of creating a place where the taste of South Philadelphia could be enjoyed in the Australian state of Victoria. The name PATS comes from the Premium Australian Trimmed Steak a famous steak sandwich born in the original stateside Pat’s in the early 1930s. What’s really interesting about this place is the fact that this place looks nothing like the typical fast-food joint found in the US.

The restaurant features an unique interior design with industrial touches and intricate paint job.  The piping system that runs all over the ceiling and on small portions of wall supports the lighting system. All those pipes that very often don’t go anywhere hold the light bulbs and the electrical wires run inside the pipes.

That industrial touch is somehow compensated by the warm color and original wall graphics. This place has a retro feel combining nude wall tables and chairs, classical light bulbs, unique wall art. Probably that wall art sets the prominent tone making me think of old Buicks and Thunderbirds.  The details in this restaurant are remarkable but as good as a restaurant looks people will always come for the food in there. The ambient can only improve your mood and make your time spend there more pleasant but under no circumstances will make your Hamburger fat free.
