The CL76 house is a beautiful residence situated on the shore on a small lake in the Buenos Aires province, Argentina. It was designed and built here in 2015, being the result of a collaboration between studios El Aleph Arquitectura and Fritz + Fritz Arquitectos. It has two floors, both structured around a patio and designed to prioritize natural lighting and indirectly the beautiful view towards the lake.

It’s immediately noticeable that the house has a very simple and intentionally unfinished look. From the outside, the prominent exposed concrete surfaces add a lot of character to the building. Large panorama windows expose the interior to the surrounding landscape and ensure a seamless connection between the internal areas and their adjacent terrace or patio area as well as the backyard. The ground floor has easy access to a garden which extends down the slope and to a swimming pool.

The living room and kitchen and dining areas are all connected as it’s customary in many modern and contemporary homes. they occupy a big section of the ground floor and open up towards a covered patio and also the yard and pool areas. The social area is not particularly large and it also incorporates a floating metal staircase which doubles as a visual divider between the lounge area and the rest of the room. There’s also a transparent glass wall between these spaces, allowing each section to function as an independent room but also connecting them together and giving the impression of a larger space. The private areas are positioned on the upper floor which gives them a gorgeous view over the entire surrounding area and the lake. They have access to open balconies with glass railings and they prioritize natural lighting just like the rest of the residence.
