Elegant neo-classical residence in Athens

This beautiful and very stylish residence was originally built for the French Councilor. It’s located in Piraeu, a district in Athens. Over the years, the residence has been remodeled and completely renovated. Several drastic changes have been made. For example, all the interior walls have been removed. They have been replaced with sliding doors and walls.

The residence got a new structure and new design. Still, some of the original elements have been reserved. The most interesting one is the wooden staircase that connects all the levels of the house. It’s indeed a very beautiful and artistic element that deserved its place in this stylish home. The residence was also completely refurnished. It’s now featuring classical mid-century modern furniture and it has a very distinguished neo-classical design.

This style suits it well. The whole house is very elegant and stylish. It has an airy feel and it’s mostly because of the furniture. The pieces are simple, with clean lines and elegant silhouettes. They also feature minimalist shapes and beautiful colors. The color palette is also simple. It includes colors such as white, beige, red, blue and occasional hints of orange and yellow. The combinations and contrasts are very beautiful. For example, the wooden floors are beautifully complemented by the crisp white walls and the subtle hints of blue and red. Still, white is the star in here.{found on yatzer and pics by Vangelis Paterakis}.
