Cozy Melbourne Apartment With White Walls and Wooden Furniture

This Melbourne apartment was designed by Dan and Paul Honey Fuog and it has a very clean and simple interior. The walls are white throughout and there’s a lot of wood which makes all the room feel cozy and inviting. The balance is very nice. On one hand, the interior décor is sketchy and minimalist, with a limited color palette and not a lot of pattern or texture. On the other hand, the natural wood elements make the rooms feel warm and welcoming.

I particularly like the black chairs in the dining area. They stand out beautifully with their contrasting color and they have a clean and simple design which makes them look like they’ve been drawn with a sharp pencil. The apartment has a uniform décor throughout. All the rooms have parquet floors and this gives them a natural and casual look, especially considering the natural finish.

Functionality played a key role in the design of this space. This is partially why there’s raw wood everywhere. Minimalism defines the rooms and there’s also a fresh décor throughout. The green plants complement the wood and they also add color to the rooms. There are also other bold colors throughout the apartment in the form of accent details or decorations. The bathroom contrasts with the rest of the space because of the color combination. The golden accents are definitely interesting.{found on thedesignfiles and images by Sean Fennessy}.
