A lamp made of wood doesn’t really sound modern but wait till you see this one. The Ardea Table Lampwas designed by Roberto and Stefano Truzzolillo of Amitrani. It’a made of oak wood and LED extends along the arm. Moreover, it doesn’t have a switch. It’s enough to graze the metallic button on the base to switch it on.
The Spun Table Lamp was designed by Jonah Takagi and has a very cute look. It has a spun aluminum shade, a lacquered steel base and a cloth cord. Both the lampshade and the base are available in a variety of finishes and colors and the cord can also be blue, red and grey.
The big attraction these days are cordless designs so it was about time we included one in our list. This is the Mush Lamp. It was designed by Claudia Garay and it’s a cordless table light. The designed is reminiscent of a mushroom, hence the name. The base of the lamp is made of beech wood and it’s where the battery, LED and mechanisms are hidden. The lampshade is ceramic.

Of course, one could argue and say that it looks more like a UFO and they’d be right as the lamp has a very simple and abstract design.
