The client requested a gallery where he could display his collection of original art. This area also serves as the space that greets the visitors upon their arrival. The main entrance of the residence features a lavastone clad blade wall and it leads to the gallery. Then a large open space is reached. It includes the kitchen, the dining area and the living room. It has large windows with panoramic views of the surrounding area. There’s also a secondary entrance through a side door that leads to the laundry area.

The residence also includes a spare bedroom, a bathroom and a master bedroom situated in an area separated from the rest of the rooms. There’s also a swimming pool area. When designing the house, the architects paid special attention to the local climate and the topography of the site, trying to come up the best solution. It’s why the house literary turns its back to the wind and it’s oriented in a way that allows light to penetrate the surface and to create a bright interior in all the rooms.{pics by Lisa Gane }.
